Michele
Rubin has 17 years of editorial experience in the human
resources domain and will head up BackBone’s Human Capital
Management practice. Ms. Rubin served as managing editor of Employee
Benefit Plan Review for international business-to-business
publisher Aspen Publishers Inc., (
New
York
).
During her tenure at
Aspen
, Ms. Rubin was responsible for developing,
managing, and editing newsletters, journals, and manuals in the
areas of human resources, employee benefits, compensation, pension
benefits, financial planning, long-term care, and occupational
safety and health.
Tom
Starner has worked as a freelance writer and editor for the past 15
years, specializing in HR technology. From 1997 through 2001, Mr.
Starner served as consulting editor at Human Resource Executive magazine.
In that capacity, he managed a diverse special HR Tech section
published eight times annually, and wrote feature articles and a
column on HR and technology, covering topics from the Web to HRMS
and portals to HR department technology success stories. Mr. Starner
also writes on a variety of other topics, including sports,
insurance, and general technology, and has been published in several
magazines, including Sports Illustrated, Sports Business
Journal, and Philadelphia Magazine.
Barbara
Parus has 25
years of editorial experience, with seven years concentrated in
human resources, compensation, benefits, and work/life. Ms. Parus
served as editor of WorldatWork
Journal and workspan, the
member publications of WorldatWork, a not-for-profit professional
association. In addition to managing, writing, and editing content
for these two publications, she authored three books for the
association’s publishing division. Ms. Parus currently consults
and collaborates with senior executives on articles, newsletters,
and manuscripts that focus on these topics.
Jim
Romeo is an engineer by background and
education and also holds an MBA in Marketing. Mr. Romeo has written
more than 450 magazine articles, with a focus on technology and its
application to industry. His publishing credits include Network
Computing, HR Magazine, Planning Magazine, Federal Credit Union, and
many more. Mr. Romeo is also the author of two non-fiction books in
the business genre.
